Nonwoven Filter Media for Water, Air & Liquid Filtration

Nonwoven filtration media can provide a porous, configurable structure for air, water and liquid-management systems. Viora coordinates material evaluation and B2B supply around the customer's filter design, target medium and conversion requirements.

Material overview

Filter media defined by the complete system

A filtration nonwoven cannot be selected by material name alone. Fiber composition, density, thickness, porosity, air permeability, layer construction and final geometry all influence how the media behaves in the assembled filter.

Viora primarily supplies upstream engineered nonwoven roll materials rather than woven filter cloth, finished filter bags, finished filter cartridges or complete filtration devices. Buyers may describe suitable structures as nonwoven filter media, nonwoven filter fabric or polyester filter media; they are not presented as woven filter cloth.

Confirmed manufacturing data

Polyester needle-punched nonwoven filter media

Viora supplies needle-punched nonwoven structures based primarily on polyester / PET fiber for filtration and other functional applications. Other fiber or material systems may be evaluated where the application requires them, but are not implied to be present in every filter-media specification.

The table presents confirmed manufacturing capability and one material-specific tested interception result. It does not define a universal filtration grade for the entire range.

Variables for nonwoven filter media development

Specifications are evaluated with specialized manufacturing partners and confirmed for the intended application, format and validation plan.

01

Porous structure

Density, thickness and porosity are considered together rather than treated as isolated catalogue values.

02

Flow characteristics

Air permeability or liquid-flow requirements should be aligned with the full filter construction and test method.

03

Material and layers

PET-based media and other functional structures can be evaluated according to the medium and assembly.

04

Format customization

Roll, sheet and converted components can be reviewed for cartridges, appliances and OEM filter systems.

Application context

Filtration systems supported at pillar level

Water and liquid filtration

Qualified media structures for water handling, process liquids, pet water fountain filters and application-specific liquid filter assemblies.

Air and dust filtration

Porous layers considered for air movement, particle management and dust-related components.

Filter cartridges and custom porous components

Roll, sheet or converted media developed around cartridge dimensions, assembly requirements and custom porous component geometry.

Appliance and humidifier filters

Functional porous structures considered for humidifiers, consumer appliances and related compact filter systems.

Automotive filtration

Needle-punched media evaluated for relevant automotive air or fluid-management components, subject to project-specific qualification.
